Psychotherapist, Founder of icuTalks, Speaker, & Author
CARRE Mental Health Professional Partner
Kim is a Psychotherapist and the owner of Peer In Counseling Center, a Christ-centered psychotherapy organization open to all seeking emotional healing. Kim is also the President and co-founder of icuTalks, a speaking ministry that helps people hear the message of God’s redeeming love.
Kim’s partnership is invaluable as we lift our community together and stand in the gap between physical health and mental health. As we help families navigate the stressors of having a child with a diagnosis, it’s important that we also touch on mental health wellness. We appreciate having Kim’s expertise and counsel to our CARRE program as we navigate the support processes for our families and as we educate our overall community on the correlation between physical and mental health.

Erin King
CARRE Team Volunteer
Erin offers such phenomenal support for our families as a volunteer in The Sandbox. Erin has a degree in Special Education and is the mother of two children; one of which has special needs. Erin feels that this is a true asset as she is often able to put herself in the families’ shoes when dealing with behavior or anxiety concerns.
In 2016 Erin stumbled into The Sandbox through our families. Her daughter was in daycare at 6-months-old with our beloved CC Casey. She was also a teacher at St. Gabriel’s Cradle, a non-profit school where some of the children in The Sandbox attend. Her past as an educator provided her with the opportunity to work with a variety of families and now she’s able to use her broad perspective when working with our families which is invaluable. She believes that her past has given her the tools she is able to use today in The Sandbox.
Erin can be found making calls, making deliveries to families at their homes or to the hospital, acting as a liaison between the families and the team, or offering major support at an event. We truly appreciate her constant willingness to jump in wherever needed. We are grateful to have Erin on the CARRE team.
