The CARRE program is designed to ensure each family receives the services they need in their unique situation. We rely on referrals from healthcare professionals, social workers and caring members of the community to help us impact more families facing the difficult diagnosis of a child. When we receive a referral, our team will follow up to determine eligibility and how the family can best be served. If we are not able to assist, we will help connect families to other resources in the community.
Who is eligible?
A family whose child has been diagnosed with cancer or a life-altering illness.
Who can refer a child?
Medical professionals, parents, legal guardians and family members with detailed knowledge of the child’s current medical condition can complete a CARRE Intake.
CARRE Intake Form
We are so thrilled that you want to be a part of The Sandbox. It is our mission to serve families who have a child with cancer, a rare, life altering or terminal illness. Our goal is to offer each family individualized attention and care – from when you enter The Sandbox through your journey. As you know, this is a busy season as we are nearing the end of the year. During this high volume season, we are holding off on all intakes to our Sandbox CARRE program. We want to provide only excellence and for this reason you will find the intake form inactive.
We will continue to give all of our families the individualized support they need. We are evaluating the process as we move forward, and we will update our website (GotSandbox.org) when we resume intakes. Thank you for your patience.
