Cancer, Rare, Life-Altering and Terminal illnesses do not take breaks — and neither do we! We exist to do whatever is necessary to support families in our community facing the difficult diagnosis of a child.
Each family is unique, and that’s why we have developed our CARRE program. Through CARRE we provide every family with the unique and individualized support they need.
CARRE stands for Caring About Real Relationships Empathetically. Through the CARRE program, we provide support to our families through two main avenues:
- An individualized CARRE Plan based on the family’s unique needs
We develop relationships with each family so that we can best understand the daily trials of having a child with a diagnosis and the role it plays on the entire family. From this relationship The Sandbox fills the gaps within the family to provide support to sustain them on the journey. - The Sandbox Events
We created The Sandbox events to help the entire family forget about the daily rigors of their child’s diagnosis and bring families together in community to build friendships, create lasting memories, produce joyful experiences and most importantly, restore hope.- Signature Events: designed to be over the top to celebrate the CARRE families and provide them an experience of a lifetime, building lasting memories such as A Weekend of Believing & An Evening of Believing Prom.
- Family Events: smaller, intimate gatherings, together in community with other families, they are able to find support through each other, take a break from the daily rigors of their treatment schedules and therapies and experience a place of belonging.
