CLAUDIA + TREVOR
A Moment Made From God’s Perfect Timing with The Sandbox
There are weddings you plan for months, sometimes years… and then there are weddings like Claudia and Trevor’s, brought together in less than 45 days, not by chance, but by necessity. It was The Sandbox’s creative vision that transformed that fleeting window into a once-in-a-lifetime moment, mobilizing a community so Claudia’s mom could be there.
When Claudia learned that her mother, Clary, was nearing the end of her life after a battle with terminal cancer, everything shifted. With the memory of Claudia’s sister, Gaby, held close, this moment carried even deeper meaning for their family. The timelines that once felt normal suddenly didn’t fit anymore. Waiting wasn’t an option. Not for the dress. Not for the details. And certainly not for the moment that mattered most: walking down the aisle with her mom there to see it. So, we moved. Quickly. Intentionally. With heart leading every decision.
This wedding was led and brought to life by The Sandbox, a local non-profit, who rallied an entire community of partners to make this moment possible. Alongside that community, partners contributed their time, talent and heart. What unfolded over the next few weeks was nothing short of extraordinary. This wasn’t just about planning a wedding. It was about creating a moment in time that would hold everything—love, family, legacy and goodbye, all at once.
When people ask what made this wedding so special, the answer is simple. Everyone showed up. Vendors rearranged schedules. The right people stepped in at the right time. Volunteers became family overnight. Every detail was touched by someone who understood that this wasn’t just an event…it was a gift. A gift to their families. A gift to Trevor. A gift to Claudia. And most importantly, a gift to her mom, Clary.
There was laughter. There were tears. There were moments that felt almost too sacred to put into words. And there was Clary, witnessing it all. You could feel it in the way Claudia looked at her. In the way the room held its breath. In the quiet understanding that this day was carrying more than just a marriage—it was holding memory, legacy, and love that would last far beyond it.
“When Time Feels Different, You Stop Waiting For Someday.”
This wedding was a living expression of that truth. A reminder that what we think we need more time for, sometimes we don’t. Sometimes what we need is courage. Community. And the willingness to say yes to what matters most, right now.
Claudia and Trevor’s wedding was the start of their marriage, but it was also something more. It was a moment her mom got to experience. Clary passed away peacefully just twelve days later. And now, their wedding is a memory that will forever be part of their story. A reminder that even in the face of loss, love shows up fully, bravely, and beautifully. Not someday. But exactly when it’s needed most.
The Sandbox shows Deep Gratitude to the Hands Behind This Day
There are moments when a community doesn’t just support something… it becomes part of it. This was one of those moments. Through the vision & leadership of The Sandbox and the generosity of this community, partners, creatives, and businesses stepped in with open hearts and incredible talent. Each brought something meaningful to this day, helping create a moment that will be remembered forever.
The following businesses stepped in in meaningful ways, offering their time, talent and care to “Do Stuff That Matters” and help bring this special day to life. And that is something we will carry with us, always. What they gave went far beyond services. It was generosity, compassion, and a willingness to show up in a moment that truly mattered. We are so grateful to recognize them here:
